Quick Setup Guide
Connect Your First Data Source
To connect your first data source:
- Navigate to the Connectors section in the left sidebar
- Select your desired data source from the available options
- Follow the authentication prompts to grant necessary permissions
- Wait for the initial sync to complete (this may take several minutes depending on data volume)
- Verify the connection status shows as “Connected” with a green indicator
Create Your First Knowledge Base
To create a knowledge base:
- Click on Knowledge Base in the left navigation menu
- Select “Add new knowledge base”
- Click on “Upload Files” on the right
- Select which data sources should be included in this knowledge base
- Then click on “Upload Files” again to finish the upload process
Start Your First Collaborative Chat
To start a collaborative chat:
- Navigate to the Chat section
- Click “New Chat” to create a fresh conversation
- Select the knowledge bases and data sources you want to query
- Type your first question or search query
Pro Tip: Start with a data source that contains well-organized, frequently accessed information to immediately see value from Steps AI.
